There are three options to customise when setting up Numbers on the Platform,

  • "Set For Each Week"

  • "Entering Running Totals?"

  • "Recurring Number"

This article will explain the option "Set For Each Week".

Set For Each Week

Planning the Number

By default, when creating a Number, you set up a weekly target, and each week has the same target.

Workfacta calculates the total quarterly target by adding the weekly numbers together, called the Quarterly-To-date Target, or QTD Target.

To define define different weekly target numbers, tick "Set For Each Week".

For example, to track the weekly golf balls ordered, you can set different targets for each week. Another use case would work for seasonal promotional activities: you may expect a surge in sales over 3 weeks in the quarter.

The weekly targets you set for "Weekly golf balls ordered" will also show in the trend graph.

Updating the Number

In the "Updates" section of the Platform, the "Target" is the weekly target you've set.

Update the "Result" and click on the trend graph to see your reported result against your weekly Target.

Note: The result shown in red color means you have reported a Number below the target. The Updated indicator ๐ŸŸข turns green when the Number has been updated.

In the trend graph, you can see the weekly targets you've set, with weekly results updated, and the trend during the quarter.

Reviewing the Number

At the end of the quarter, you can track how the weekly targets and weekly results sum up.

To view the Quarterly-To-Date Target and Quarterly-To-Date Result for "Weekly golf balls ordered", go to Quarterly Planning > Numbers.

QTD result and QTD target

You can also see the QTD Target calculated by Workfacta based on the weekly targets you've set up. Finally, you can see the total of weekly results-to-date - QTD Result, and compare it against the QTD Target to track performance.
