There are 5 roles available for users in Workfacta, and they have different permissions on the Platform:
The role that you have will be designated by the Enterprise Admins or Admins of the company.
Enterprise Admin
The first person who signed up on the Platform within an account is made an Enterprise Admin by default.
Enterprise Admins
have access to the Setup page on the main menu
have full permissions to manage teams, users, and companies on the Platform
have access to the billing information of the account, meaning that they can control account payment
have access to all the companies within the account, if there are multiple companies set up
Example: Yum Z, the Enterprise Admin in the Management Team has access to the Billing and Upgrade options
Because Enterprise Admins have access to the billing information of the account, there must be at least one Enterprise Admin within an account for billing purposes. However, there is no maximum limit on how many Enterprise Admins can be within one account.
Admin
The Admin role is designated by the Enterprise Admins or Admins when they invite users onto the Platform. The Admin permissions are pre-defined, and there is no customisable permission setting for the Admin role.
Admins
have access to the Setup page on the main menu
have full permissions to manage teams, users, and companies on the Platform just like Enterprise Admins
only have admin access to their home company if there are multiple companies set up
Example: Keiko H, the Admin in the Management Team does not have access to the Billing and Upgrade options
The key difference between an Enterprise Admin's and an Admin's permission on the Platform is the access to the billing information.
There is no limit on how many Admins can be within one account.
User
The User role is designated by the Enterprise Admins or Admins when they invite users onto the Platform. The User permissions are pre-defined, but Enterprise Admins and Admins can edit a User's permission.
Users
don't have access to the Setup page on the main menu
by default can see, create and edit Actions, Goals, Numbers, Reports, and Discussions items, but cannot delete any items to ensure team accountability
have access to New Meeting, Meeting Archive, and Team Performance pages
The User permissions by default can see and edit all items, but Enterprise Admins and Admins can edit the permissions on a per-user basis. To edit a User's permission:
go to Setup page > Users
Select and edit the user whose role is User
Click on "Permissions" and edit
Example: edit permissions for Connor L, a User in the Management Team
Associate
The Associate role is designated by the Enterprise Admins or Admins when they invite users onto the Platform. Usually, a user with an Associate role on the Platform is not a member of the team, therefore, the Associate's permissions are very limited.
Associates
only have access to the Home page
only can see and update items assigned to them on the Dashboard
only can edit the Dashboard with "My Week", "Next Week", and "Overdue Actions" widgets
Example: Cat P, Associate in the Management Team, can only update through Dashboard
The Associate permissions are pre-defined, and there is no customisable permission setting for the Associate role.
There is no limit on how many Associates can be within one account.
Advisor
The Advisor role is designated by the Enterprise Admins or Admins when they invite users onto the Platform.
Usually, a user in an Advisor role is the one who is not part of the company but helps with the operation of the company. Therefore, similar to Users, Advisors have access to the team to which they are invited on the Platform, but don't have access to set up the company.
Advisor
don't have access to the Setup page on the main menu
by default can see, create and edit Actions, Goals, Numbers, Reports, and Discussions items, but cannot delete any items
have access to New Meeting, Meeting Archive, and Team Performance pages
Example: Uri Y, Advisor in the Management Team, can see and update, but does not have access to the Setup page
The Advisor permissions are pre-defined, and there is no customisable permission setting for the Advisor role.
There is no limit on how many Advisors can be within one account.
