Workfacta helps you run effective meetings by having an inbuilt agenda automatically updated as new items are added. You are guided through the meeting to make sure you won't miss any single business item.

What makes a meeting effective?

There are 4 principles of effective meetings:

  • Come with a clear plan & agenda

  • Agree on actions, owners, and deadlines

  • Set achievable goals

  • Engaging and impactful meetings

Workfacta Meetings are designed with these principles in mind. Following the Workfacta meeting agenda, you will hold effective meetings which will help your team kick goals and grow your business.

Before the Meeting

You will receive an email with the meeting agenda one day ahead of the scheduled meeting time, detailing what will be discussed during the Meeting.

You will also be reminded to go on to the platform and update the status of any Goals, Actions, Numbers, or Reports you're assigned before the Meeting.

The Workfacta Meetings workflow

At the scheduled meeting time, go to New Meeting in the main menu on the platform to launch the Meeting.

The New Meeting page has a series of tabs that guide you through the sections of your agenda in an efficient manner while encouraging you to report by exception and keep the discussions for the final part of the meeting.

During the Meeting, you have the flexibility of raising any Discussion items (Opportunities / Challenges / Discussions) and creating Actions the second you identify one. Simply click on the Global Create Button, and they will show up in their designated sections in real-time.

After the Meeting

You will receive an email with the Meeting Minutes outlining the team's performance in the last week and showing details of the team's progress in achieving goals, completing Actions, and reaching Numbers. Any issues that needed discussion and the solutions will also be included in the Meeting Minutes email.

This way, you can be updated on the team's progress even if you didn't attend the meeting.

Reasons for the framework being the way it is:

By going through News, Goals, Numbers, and Reports, the team can start with more general things and get the big picture. Then, as they move to very specific things in the Actions and Discuss and Agree section, it becomes easier for them to think about the details.

The Workfacta Meetings agenda also encourages you not to get stuck on specific items early on - they are deferred to the Discuss and Agree section. This section is where you should spend the most time, delving into details and making decisions as a team.

The launch / close pages make it very simple to capture the who / what / when surrounding the mechanics of the meeting.
