The delegation feature allows you to assign Goals or Actions to the right team to work and, at the same time, keep you up-to-date with the latest progress - once the assignee makes an update on the delegated item, you, as the Owner, will know real-time on your dashboard!

Note:

  • Delegation is only available for the Enterprise plan.

In this article, you will see how it looks on both the Owner's and the assignee's dashboards when updating a delegated Goal.

Owner views Goals and delegation on dashboard

There will be an icon, an arrow pointing to a person, next to the Owner's name on the delegated Goal. It indicates that this is a delegated Goal to another team, and you will see delegation details when you hover the mouse above the icon.

Example: on the Owner, Yvan Zac's dashboard, highlighted row is a delegated Goal, delegated to Operations Team, assigned to John Smith.

Similarly, there will be an icon, an arrow pointing from a person, next to the assignee's name on the delegated Goal. It indicates that this is a delegated Goal from another team, and you will also see delegation details when you hover the mouse above the icon.

Example: on the assignee, John Smith's dashboard, highlighted row is a delegated Goal, delegated from Management Team, owned by Yvan Zac.

Assignee update a delegated Goal

The assigned user can view and update the Goal from their Dashboard or the Update Page.

When the assignee updates a delegated Goal, the updated status will automatically transfer to the Owner's team.

Note:

  • Assignees can also view the feed and child actions, and create new child actions/discussions from delegated Goals.
